Q:  What is child sponsorship?
A: Sponsoring a child for just $30 a month is a wonderful way to help change the life of a child in need and bring hope to his or her entire community. Being a sponsor will give you the chance to provide opportunity for a child in desperate need and to build a new relationship with one special child.

Q:  As a sponsor, what will I receive throughout the year?

A:  We will send you a sponsorship package which includes a photo and story of your child, as well as other valuable information about your child's country once we receive your first monthly gift of $30, Throughout the year you will receive a monthly receipt for each payment sent.  We will also do our best to provide you with a yearly update on your individual child.

Q:  How does sponsorship work?
A: The goal of sponsorship is to equip your child to step confidently into the future. When you make either a one time gift, or recurring monthly gift your contributions are pooled with that of other sponsors of children in the community where your child lives. Your contributions goes directly to taking care of the child providing, food, water, shelter, clothing,  medical supplies (where necessary), school fees and books and the basic necessitates of life .That means your sponsorship may last for many years. You will be provided an annual report of your child's progress

When you sign up to become a child sponsor, you join a family of  "life givers"  around the world who share your commitment to change the world, one child at a time.

To me, the knowledge that I am helping to give hope to someone who truly appreciates it and makes an impact in their daily life, is WELL worth giving up that trip to the movies, that dinner out, and that weekly coffee treat. We take for granted so much every day in the United States. There are children in Africa and other parts of the world who aren't begging their parents for the latest and greatest toy. They are simply waiting for food, without begging, knowing that their parents are doing all they can for them. They appreciate a roof over their heads and enough to eat, even if it's only once a day. And I can guarantee they aren't arguing with their parents to eat their vegetables.  :)
 
My first letter from Rosaline was precious. I'm looking forward to getting to know her and developing a relationship with her. She is one of MANY children who has a grasp of appreciation for what she has much more so than adults in the United States. The pictures I have received of her and her father and twin sister are just priceless. Her smile has captured my heart.
